Default Heroes' Ascent Test Week

I'm suprised no one has made a thread about this yet, and if someone did feel free to delete this.

Quote:
Heroes' Ascent Test Week 2 August 2007
As part of our continuing practice of reviewing and refreshing PvP gameplay mechanics, we're launching another test week featuring changes to the Heroes' Ascent area. We'll be looking for your feedback about the HA changes after they roll out this week and as always will give them full consideration in subsequent potential updates and revisions.
Getting rid of Kill Count maybe?

this is pretty interesting, hopefully they got rid of killcount wich is by far the worst objective in HA.

You know, they could just not do this at all. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I wonder if that means we'll be seeing a skill update tonight (or tomorrow)...

It's too late anyways. HAers have gone to greener pastures, and unless the skill balance redefined the universe, it won't help.

From gailes talk page if no ones already posted:
Here are details of what will be changed for this play-balance test week:

* Removed Broken Tower from the map rotation.
* Removed Burial Mounds from the map rotation and replaced it with Fetid River, a new 8v8 Annihilation map that has a Priest.
* Removed Sacred Temples from the map rotation and replaced it with the Antechamber, a new 8v8 Control Point map.
* Added Forgotten Shrines, a new 8v8 Control Point map, to the map rotation after Unholy Temples.
* Changed the Courtyard's game type from Kill Count to King of the Hill.

Sounds promising to me. I think it would be a shame for them to remove Sacred Temples though.

they should put back king of the hill at hoh. the capture points maps will be just as hated as kill count. and 100% this is not a "Test" week. remember last time they did a so called "test" week? and they let us have kill count till now AND the crap hoh? so yea, update should say: removed kill count and replaced it with something just as unwanted.

i'm not looking forward to this week. i've thought for a long time they'd replace kill count with capture points, turning HA in to a disgusting mix of hero battles and AB. i hoped they'd realise it's stupid and just give us back old HA as it was, 8v8 with king of the hill but of course, it's not gonna happen.

no wonder these days half the population of heroes ascent IS actually HEROES. hello olias!

Wow. Kudos to ANET. No more kill count, a king of the hill map, and the antichamber which sounds like a beastly final map.
